Women, ditch your ego at the door. Turns out men in fact are more proficient than women at steering their vehicles into a spot, if one is to consider a recent study out of Europe.

At head-on, driving backwards along with parallel parking, male drivers surpassed female drivers by directing their cars into the central point of the lot, according to the research which found a mention in the Daily Telegraph.

Female drivers not only did not perform as good a job but also required close to 20 seconds in excess to park their automobiles.

Any Options for Trading a Car

I'm needing to get rid of my 2002 Cadillac Eldorado (priced at almost €6thousand) as our home now needs a bigger car (3 grown ups, 2 children and twins expected soon).

I have got to point out that the vehicle has treated me noticeably all right and I have, on no account, felt the shortahge of power; and the solitary motive that I wish to put it on the market is 'coz I'm at the momentaiming for a vehicle that is larger.

I'm not closed to ideas that take these points into account:
a) more spacious
b) comparable low emission
c) good on quick drives (because that's what we generally do)
d) good on fuel efficacy

What's significant is that the vehicle should be a product of a positively dependable manufacturer, and also the spare parts should be unproblematic to find and not overly high-priced, etc.

When all's said and done, if the vehicle that I speak of has treated you satisfactorily however you just need to swap it for a vehicle which is SLIGHTLY bigger, then what would you pick? I enjoy the appearance of the Land Rover. But I sense it would be tough to locate one in that price range. All wheel drives can be helpful for us since we stay in the Chisos Mountains and a few off road trails are present, however it's not essential for it to be a 4×4.

While I hold on for the sale I believe I will just keep labouring in a rented motorcar

Thank you for all recommendations.

Dad's Latest Car

My father just turned in his Ford Explorer and is looking to rent another car. He already made clear that this drive was a bit too rough on his spine and also that the engine capacity was in excess of what he wanted… Now he's looking for a 4 cylinder or a small 6, and it must be SUV since he enjoys kayaking, etc… and this is the only big vehicle in the house, I used his vehicle numerous times to move possessions from one place to another since I drive a Honda Accord and my wife a Scion Xa.

In any case, the budget; it's without doubt under US $28k after taxes & fees.

He did like the GMC Acadia, but it's way too inefficient when it comes to engine capacity, the Turbo edition has excellent engine capacity and handles well, but for that much he opines he can do better.

He chanced upon a wonderful deal at Volkswagen for a Jetta SportWagen 2.5L 5 cylinders… but he has a reliability concern given that our Audi Q7 and VW Beetle were constantly breaking down. I suggested that through a 36-month contract he shouldn't face any troubles (as opposed to driving the Jeep Wrangler just as he had for about 6 years).

Then there is the contemporary Subaru Outback, a pretty darn enjoyable car, you can smell quality all over when you enter inside… Dad also suggested that he would have purchased the car already if it wasn't for the salesman was such a obnoxious person… I think after taxes it reaches $30k or so, however he does seem to be fond of the SUV a lot.

I don't think he likes the Honda CR-V, I'll ask him if he wants to examine it out, its price seems about right.

If you know of any worthy SUVs that he can explore without having to splurge an exorbitant amount of money, your suggestions will be more than welcome.
